Ham, Tuna, or Chicken Turnovers

Filling
Combine: 1 tin of Ham or tuna or chicken
                1 cup shredded cheese
                1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
                1 Tbsp onion, finely chopped
                 pepper to taste
                enough Mayo or Miracle whip to moisten
Dough
2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
cut in : 1/4 cup shortening
add: 3/4 cup milk
turn dough onto floued board. Kneed lightly 20-25 time. Roll to 1/4" thick.
Cut into 4" rounds or squares. Place meat mixture, fold over and seal.
Brush tops with melted margerine.
Bake on greased sheet at 400F for 15 minute or till brown.

I vary this recipe by using the filling on bread slices in my sandwich maker.
Uses 1 loaf of bread
