Beef Stew Stroganoff

Brown 2 lbs stewing beef, cut into bite sized pieces, in 1 Tbsp. oil
add:  2 medium sized onions, chopped
        1/2 tsp. nutmeg
        1 Tbsp. chili powder
        1/2 tsp garlic powder
        2/4 cup Tomato paste (or ketchup)
        5 cups water
        salt and pepper to taste
place in dutch oven or casserole dish. Bake in oven at 350F  for 2 hours
thicken with flour
serve over potatoes or broad noodles.
